Shoppers visiting The Co-operative in Ruthin can now enjoy stress free parking which promises to extend its impact onto the environment.
Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) cameras have been installed at the entrance of the car park, allowing customers to enter and exit with ease, thus minimising traffic congestion in the surrounding area.
Shoppers can now avail of two hours parking free of charge.
The newly installed system eradicates the need for mass ticket printing, permit placing on vehicles and traffic control barriers therefore saving time, money and promotes a greener parking solution.
This operation came about as The Co-operative sought a solution to eliminate abuse the car park has been suffering until recently by non-shoppers, commuters and taxi drivers.
Robert Adamson, spokesperson for Creative Car Park says:
“We are delighted to have successfully installed a modernised car parking management solution which significantly cuts back on car park management costs and at the same time promotes the environment”.
