Unauthorised vehicles taking up spaces
The Washington branch of the Everyone Active leisure centre provides its members with a large 100-space car park, but staff noticed that regular offenders were leaving their vehicles on-site for extended periods of time. This unauthorised activity prevented members from securing a convenient space outside the centre.
How we solved it
Maximum stay parking introduced
To free up spaces for members, our consultants proposed an authorised stay solution where parking is free for members and visitors – providing they enter their vehicle registration number on the touchscreen tablet located inside the centre. In addition, staff have been issued with permits which allowed them to park while working.
